Default airbrushing over powder coat?

Has anyone done this?

If so, how did it come out and did you clear coat it or seal it?

Thanks

0patience,

Many times! You have to make sure that you have a really good and smooth scuff over the entire surface (get rid of all the orange peel). I usually wetsand powdercoat with 800 grit wet paper. Be prepared to spend ALOT of time sanding! Powdercoat is EXTREMELY durable!!!!

Once the surface is prepped, paint and clear like you would any other panel.

Here's just a few pics of some work I did on powdercoated surfaces.

Thanks for the info.
The side covers is exactly what I had in mind.
I've got a lot of the Harley side covers (battery and oil tank covers) that I'd like to do some airbrushing on, but because of their nature thought about using powder coat for the base.

By the way, that is some awesome work.
