I would like to know if anyone has one of these compressors or has any opinions about it and if its worth the money. ($300) It doesn't say anything about psi but i'm assuming that it will ok to do everything. http://www.coastairbrush.com/proddet...?prod=IS%2D875 Thanks ralph

the little compressors in the suite case as they are called tend to run a bit hot as its enclosed for the most part if you get it you might consider running a house fan at one end to keep in running a bit cooler, heat the enemy of any compressor's life span

iwata/medea make very good products

call Dave at Coast I'm sure he would be happy to help answer any questions you have

NEVER ASSUME when it comes to compressors, regardless of the make.
There are compressors made for doing cakes and makeup that only put out pressure into the low teens at the maximum setting, and that kind of pressure level would be a strain for doing illustration, and useless for doing shirts or textiles.
Some compressors are only made for short term useage, so you need to look carefully at what your needs are and will be, and base your decisions on those needs. Be realistic when you*consider specs for a compressor. Most people grossly underestimate their needs and usage, and buy a compressor that's too small for what they actually plan to do. The compressor never performs the way they wanted it to, and the compressor tends to live a short life because of overwork trying to meet those needs.

Homework beforehand is a whole lot cheaper than regrets afterwords.

Ralph, I know you posted this a while ago, but I did own one for about three days and returned it. I tried airbrushing a t-shirt and the heat switch shut the compressor down on me after 15 minutes. Just like Don said. The Studio series are mainly for Illustrating at very low pressure that is why the tank is only a .9 gal tank because you are only consuming a low percentage of the free air. That way you don't over heat the compressor with turning on quite often. Plus they are not very quiet.
