Default Iwata to Omni

I am new to airburshing. I have been using an Omni 4000 and a 6000. I have been thinking of trying an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS or the HP-SBS. Can anyone tell me if the Iwata will have a some what of a finer spray detail than the Omni's and any other differces there may be.

ze

give five artists the same brush you'd most likely get five different results

don't let what other people say about an airbrush determine what you can do or not do with a brush

you will like the Iwata it's a quaility brush

post some of the work you do with it

its just paint after all

I agree with Don you will get different opinions depending. I have tried several and have found in my way of handling an airbrush that the Iwata airbrushes work best. The Eclipse series are a very versatile airbrush and are probably pritty comparable to the Omnie. Although I have been able to get some really good detail with the Eclipse. The only suggestion I might give is try the Eclipse with the .35mm needle for finner detail spray or stepping even further up the line to the HP-C plus. It all comes down to the hand that uses the airbrush. The gravity model will give you the advantage of working with lower pressure to keep finner detail, but less paint and more time between color changes. The BCS model will give you the ability for quicker color changes and more paint in the bottle, but the need for higher pressure reducing the ability for finer detail for some artist. A possible solution would be going with HP-BC to have a bottom feed in stead of the gravity feed.
