Default Oh god help........

Evening all,

Sorry to bug you guys but i have a new problem !

My 'O' rings arrived along with the new needle for my airbrush and i put it back together and lubed the needle so it would slide into place etc.

Now, i started up my compressor, put some thinned paint in, pressed the double action trigger for air only but not to spray paint though and it did spray a very thin stream of paint out which is not ment to have happened.

Can anyone tell me what i have done wrong ? Was it something i did when i reassembled it do you think please ?

Thanks

andy

sounds like the needle is not seated all the way.....unchuck your needle and GENTLY push it back up in the nozzle, and re chuck it ...see if tht helps it

Ditto with peanut. Maybe pull it back a bit and back in. Tap it gently with index finger to seat it all the way.

Thank you Ms Peanut, i did what you said and now it works.

As i am quite new to airbrushing and have never taken apart let alone put an airbrush back together, its great you guys know more than i would ever do and you are so helpful to us novices. Thank you

Thanks lsabourin and KDSilverBrush too.

I'm glad they got your problem solved, but you are going to need to be able to take your brushes apart, clean them and put them back together again.
You can only skate by for a very short span without cleaning, and the longer you go without doing it, the harder it gets to get your airbrush clean again, and the worse your airbrush performs.
