Default noob question

I have never used a airbrush before. I have had 2 given to me. I make custom pens with a wood lathe and decided this might be a good way to do some of my painting that I have to do sometime. I got a Paasche VL #3(it has several new needles with it too) and a Paasche AB Fine arts airbrush. Looks like a turbo to me. Both of these are brand new in unopened boxes. When I got them.
Now for the problem
I can't connect them to my air compressor. I got a air hose for air brushes but it don't fit the connection on the paasches. I need to know what is the size of the connection on the AB its self. Its not 1/8" and it looks too small for a 1/4".

welcome texas, paasche got their own hoses, I do not know what the size is but I believe that you can buy a attachment that will work on different hoses + airbrushes

Thanks for the replies. I will check and see if I can find one today. I live on a sand bar and have to ride the ferry to get to Galveston so it takes a little while to go look. If I knew how to do body tatooes I could have all kinds of fun. I live right on the beach.

You may find that getting a quick-connect or something like a GMAC will do well for you. You can get the male fittings for any brush make or model, and it lets you connect or disconnect your brushes quickly without having to shut things down to do it.
Paasche, like some other companies, use their own size hose, they typically come with one end that fits the brush, and the other that is a 0.25" fitting that will go to your compressor or tank.
If you got the little Paasche bottles of gas to run from, don't waste your time on them, get a small compressor or a CO2 tank. For what you are using, either one should do just fine.
The AB is a spectacular brush, but it requires super light/low viscosity paint or finish, and a good bit of tweaking, but it can do some amazing stuff for super fine illustration with inks, dyes, etc.
The VL with the #3 is a great workhorse brush, you may want to consider the number one and five needles and nozzle sets to go with it. That will let you spray finer detail stuff, as well as the heavier or broader pattern work.
