filter/moisture trap
Ive been looking at buying a fliter/moisture trap for airbrushing, and the question I had was; does it have to connect directly to the airbrush, or can I connect it to the compressor?
Also, how much should I be looking at paying for a basic filter/moisture trap?
Cheers Sarah

Re: filter/moisture trap
the filter will remove the moisture better after it cools some, install a 15 or 20 foot hose between compress and filter, install another hose from filter to the airbrush

Re: filter/moisture trap
I think if I followed the advice of Redneck I would end up with airbrushing hose longer than my house ... maybe not the best idea

funny, I got 2 50 ' hoses , the hose betreew the compreess and filter is coil up out of the way until I need air for something outside then both hoses are attach, the different in the price of a 10 ' and a 50 ' are not too much different, what size of hose are you talking about --3/8"

Re: filter/moisture trap
You may find that putting a few water traps in your settup will do you best. Having one at the compressor helps catch the water when your compressor first starts up. Having the long hose will help a lot in catching the water, having a small one inline on your airbrush may be of help too. A lot depends on how humid your air is where you work.
If it's really bad, you may want to consider adding a desicant dryer to your settup.
