Re: Rifle stock
Bahamut, maybe some finer black lines inside the white areas would add complexity to the pattern. Looks great.

Re: Rifle stock
Yeah I hear ya lsa... there's some spots that are really buggin' me too. It's nice to post works like this... I get the chance to see them and pick out the stuff that buggs me or doesn't look right. Also the fact that the feedback is invaluable...

Re: Rifle stock
The pattern you have going on the butt stock portion is realistic....follow that some more and ya have it down pat....looking good so far....

Re: Rifle stock
I think you have nailed the zebra pattern, I would ask the customer if he likes it before you clear it, and make any changes to it that he may want. Little too bright for my to carry in the woods, but that is what he ask for, GOOD JOB!!!!

Re: Rifle stock
Thats great Bahamut......love the idea........this is just me ..but I would try and make the effect that its a zebra skin wrapped around the stock...in other words make some hair and ruffle the hair a little bit around the edges and contours to make it look like a real skin is wrapped around the stock ..........just me thinking to much. Re: Rifle stock
Fixed a few things on it and sharpened up some spots yesterday. Customer saw it today and was thrilled... got the OK to clear it. He wanted it glossy so I give it to him glossy.
Edit: sorry about the grainy pic... too late to get another one now...
