Default Big Daddy-Bioshock

This is something I've been workin on and off for 2-3 months in between projects. It's a character called Big Daddy from the video game Bioshock. It guards litlte zombie girls running around this VERY creepy game! The flash really screws things up, I'l try to fix this during daytime. Used HP-CS and HP-B+ with Golden and Ph Martins

Ern, this is on canvas 18x24. But I masked about 2 in top and bottom to give it a nice white border. So in reality it's 14x16. You can see the canvas "weaving" because of the photo flash!. this was before the days I found out that people used Gesso to coat canvas first!

Lsa,

As always a great insiration to us all! The accuracy to the original is incredible. I really dig how you captured the creepiness of the videogame too.

DAMN LUC!

You totally nailed that big sucker!

I could seriously mistake this from the actual game art, it's brilliant brother.

Not only have you utterly nailed the detail and caricature of "Big Daddy" but you have managed to capture the atmosphere with the tube, the scenery and even the water outside the tube.

Totally awesome brother!

Thanks guys for all your very positive comments. In case anyone's wondering, the copper color was done with Golden Red iron Oxyde mixed with a bit of Diarylide yellow and a drop of interference oxide red, to give it glitter.

INK: I'd like to have a friend like that too! When you play the game though those guys come out of nowhere and ram you! Pretty freaky game. Gamers, you have to play this one!

Lee, careful mate, this is not a game by normal standards, you don't play this one, you survive it!

And it's so addictive, "must solve the puzzle" thing. you will never be able to walk into the light again brother!!
