Re: WINNERS or WINNER'S
Pat, WINNERS means more than 1 (2+) maybe him and his partner together (Plural)
WINNER'S means a Winner owns it (Possessive)
and WINNER means he has won something/prize or contest. Sounds like he may have won the Bike though????
Hope that helps.............Kwit

Re: WINNERS or WINNER'S
Having "Winner's" on a bike just leaves me scratching my head!
Your spelling is correct Pat, and Kwit has explained exactly what it means. But why your client wants that on the bike is beyond me.

Re: WINNERS or WINNER'S
Yeah Patoche, it's as Kwit writes, Winners as in "The winners are, the Red team" or similar, and the other "It is the winner's enclosure" at the races.
But as Rowie asked, why? would a customer want Winners, in either context is curious, is it perhaps a name of a company, or maybe a homage to a certain sport where there are images of particular winners though history.

Re: WINNERS or WINNER'S
Even if i try to helpl the customer to choose a balanced design , there is sometime some customers who have fixed idea.
I give them my idea of the balance design , colours, try to change their mind when they i think they go in a wrong project.
This customer for exemple wants a blue true fire , and solft pinstriping all over the bike with not many angles but with many long curves ,scroll style). I've tried to explain him to choose one of them by telling him that the agressive look of the true fire will be opposite to the precious look of a pinstriping. What to say about Winner's ...!!!!???
Well , he keep his idea and didn't ear a word of i have tried to explain,... So i said OK , i will do that !
My goal on this project now is not to do a nice created painting job because i even don't know how to mix the true fire with pinstriping ....but only do it well !

Re: WINNERS or WINNER'S
Ok Pat, I suppose you can only do your best for the customer, which no doubt will be excellent anyway judging your past work. There is a saying "The customer is always right" Mmmm, probably not, But sometimes it's no point trying to educate some people in "what is right" what works, what doesn't, they are stubborn, maybe we all do it sometimes when we have our heart set on something. Like I said, you do your best, customer pays you, voila, ce la vie'

Re: WINNERS or WINNER'S
ok please forgive me here as I am only new... maybe have the pinstriping/scrolling as a border on the bikes panels and have the blue flames inside of this border with slight overlapping of flames... and as for the word winners I would have it inside the flame as thou the word is on fire itself... winners would only be very soft blue in colour slightly different shade to the blue flame and this should blend nicely
just my 2 cents
