What a Night
ralph ralph is offline 07-10-2009

I was cleaning my ab and i heard a pop and a air leak this is what happened not quite sure how it happened,my moisture trap/ gauge broke off at the white cover thingy. Not sure of the name of the white part but inside if it there is some small plastic BB"s not sure again what it is, but was connected to the compressor when i bought it so i left it alone. To top the night off i bumped into my easel and bent the needle in my CS. So for you noobies including myself KEEP THE NEEDLE CAP ON !!!!
I also posted some pics of hats and a T-shirt i bought from a guy that was abing at a 4th of july festival. I can't believe how fast this guy was. No BS he literally.did a hat in 2-3 min. And the shirt in about 5 min. This guy is from buffalo and has been abing for 16 years. One thing i can't believe is that he said he makes more money traveling around doing fairs, festivals etc. Than doing bikes or cars. I find that hard to believe. I sorta belive it tho, i talked to the guy for about half hour and he must of made 200 bucks. anyways thanks for looking.

Glad you had a good time Ralph. Sorry to hear about the compressor problems. I have an old Sears Moisture trap if you would like it it is yours.

As far as travailing and doing Fairs, I imagine once you have all the set things you need then you can turn a profit. I mean between a tent, air supply system that may or may not need an electrical supply depending on the surroundings, a receipt and Visa processing unit and not to mention all the painting supplies and lastly the cost to rent the space during the fair. Most of that is initial cost. I checked two years ago for the Canal Days and it was like $60 a day and you needed air tanks for an air supply. In the long run the artist if he made $200 then his profit was probably around $100 for the day.

Call me, I'll be around all day today because I have not been called to start the van just yet.

Hey Ralph man sorry about your compressor I hope you get it sorted. I hear what your saying about the guy doing the fairs etc there was two guys at the festival where I was just at doing tatts I remember them from last year they have a cool setup around 12 brushes so many stencils that I could not count and a heat press, one sprays and the other sets. From what I’ve seen on your photos the lettering looks just the same but I must admit they were pulling in some serious cash.
