Im looking for a free old school or hot rod flame and a skull stencil I can print out on my computer and cut out myself I have found stencil's out there but they cost and then shipping.

The ones I have bought in the past are cut from chemical resistant thin plastic type material....very flimsy...
Not sure on how they are cut .....I assume with a plotter/cutter machine.
Maybe others with more info on it will chime in here for ya....

When I need some, I cut many from old Xray film our pet vet kindly throws my way.......

Most of them are made with polypropylene (solvent resistant). Good old X-ray film will work great too.

I have spoken to some people at sign writing places and they say that to use plotters the material needs to have a backing so the material does not fall apart when cut and does not damage the plotters cutting bed. They suggested a laser cutter.

Just print out the design you want ----
spray some repositionable adhesive on the pic and stick your stencil
material to it --- then tape it down on a cutting mat so it soesnt move on ya.

then just cut the lines you need to.

but make sure your blade is always sharp --- you will get cleaner cuts.

I use a sharpener every few minutes--- keeps the tip sharp.

good luck !!!
