Default Refrence Photo Lite

I am doing a practice of a black and white still life and my photo is a bit on the dark side. The picture looks good on the monitor but is to dark after it is printed. I wipped up a little light box to help me see the details in the shadow area. Just another use for free postal boxes...

1 Priority Mail triangular tube
1 $5 under counter light
clear plastic sheet
Tape
Lenght of wood or metal
2 screws or tape.
exacto kife
15 minutes of time.

Works great for lighting your photos from behind. Add sheet so plain white paper behind photo if it is washed out by to much light.

First photo is BoxOlite and second is picture of a printed photo sitting in front of the window.

pretty cool Aixguy, I just saw this now, missed it somehow. The practice you are doing is it going to be pencil or paint?

The homework was charcoal and I wanted to show the woman teaching the drawing class how nice you can do monochrome with an airbrush. It is coming along well, will post the charcoal and airbrush version along with reference when done.. hopefully before next Thursday.
Light box is a bit to long but I had the light and it really does make the photo pop.
