Real flames on a lamp shade??
Ok, my wife thinks I'm nuts. But I'm practicing on all kinds of stuff. Why not a lamp shade. I used Createx white, red ,and yellow.(for fabric). I figure it will look cool in our pool room.

Re: Real flames on a lamp shade??
Shovelhead, your flames are getting better and better each time. I struggle with the real flames technique myself, every time I try they seem to turn out Old school, you know crab claw ends. Just comparing yours with some others, I think you have too much stencil ( hard lines ) your color blending is right there with the best. Keep working at it, it won't be long and you'll have it down pat. Just wondering though, will there be anything in the house NOT flamed ?

Re: Real flames on a lamp shade??
Hey BBA,
Seriously now, everything should be flamed, leave nothing untouched.
If it stands still long enough then they're asking for it.

Re: Real flames on a lamp shade??
lol! I have an old metal lamp that has been put on the list of 'flamables' too!
As soon as the weather turns nice again.
I think they look pretty good for that style of flames!

Re: Real flames on a lamp shade??
nice lamp shade...my hubby says same thing..he's afraid to sleep at night...may wake up flamed...ahahhaha
If he was not such a light sleeper... I would have already painted pink elephants on him for fun......

Re: Real flames on a lamp shade??
Thanks for the comments. My mom sent me 4 of these shades from Houston. I think she said she paid like $3.99 each for them. I've got an idea on a pool light. It will look real industrial looking with 3 metal shades on it. I'll post photos when I'm done. Thanks again,
And always remember: Shovelheads don't leak oil...they just mark their territory !!
