Arghhh...so sick of chains! Trying to figure out how to get the chains on the tank to 'fade' on the underside of the crisscross now. Also trying to get the shading on the chains as suggested...another royal pain. No pics on that yet. This project is started to really wear me down. Any words of encouragement? H'mmm...having a little trouble uploading other pics....

Hey Romper,

I think the chains look great--

Im sure that more people will chime in on this but heres my
2 cents.

as far as shading goes, just try to make the center part lighter and fade
darker to the edges ,

as far as making one link seem higher , just use a shield to block off the
higher links and spray some gray or reduced black on the lower links
(kinda hard to explain so I hope you get what im talking about )

I only did chains one time, but when I did I cut out each link separately
and painted each one over the next .

as far as fading into the background im not too sure what you mean but adding a drop shadow would make them look like they are jumping off the background.

hope this helps and good luck !!!
