Questions needed
I have the oppertunity to interview airbrush artist Mike Lavallee in the next month or two, I talked briefly with him this afternoon. As soon as his schedual breaks for a little bit he said he would call me, if he doesn't by the end of January to stop in and see him. I would like to do the interview with Mike to post here on this forum for everybodies enjoyment. I have a favor to ask of all of you, what questions would you like to hear answered by Mike??? We figures we would have 30-45 minutes to talk over lunch one day, I will have my pad and paper as well as a tape recorder.
I think everyone here knows who Mike Lavallee is, he is the owner of Killer paint here in Snohomish, Washington. Also know as the master of true fire. So if possible post the question(s) you would like answered and when the time comes I will do my best to get all answered.
I have one other question, will it be OK to mention airbrushtechnique.com to Mike???
Thanks in advanced,
Eric

Re: Questions needed
I watch Mike TLC yesterday in a paint -off, If I was 10% as good as Mike I would be content [maybe] the only ? I am asking will Mike & the Lady in the paint-off be welcome as members on airbrushtechnique
the tv show was 60 minutes long [way too short] for all of the details that were show
I think that the lady name is Yuonne [ crazy horse paint]

Re: Questions needed
you're welcome to submitt it as an article to the magazine as long as its not a rehash of whats already been done elsewhere
Personally I have have no questions for Mike but if members do and he will answer them cool
this forum has a few simple rules it pretty much governs itself now thanks all the great folks we have here I do my best to stay out of it, I do thank you for asking though I see no problem with it
I would prefer you search and find an artist that hasn't been in the spot light and help us get them some PR, Mike is a good artist but there are 1000's of other good artists out there who maybe are not as good at the self marketing game as Mike has been those are the artist I'm interested in hearing about. If your into interviewing artists we'd love to have your help with an interview with Mike or any other artist.
Ray it's been freezing down here in Florida I think everyone in the state has a cold

Re: Questions needed
Based on what Don Said ............Why don't you ask him his opinions or ideas on how new artists can market ourselves?
Ask him if the flame painting ( due to it's heavey exposure) is starting to limit him in his creativity.
Is he interested in doing other types of graphics to give him different challenges instead of painting his bread and butter "Flame" graphics all the time. If he is why has he not ventured into it further?
I know he does other work but is famous for his real flames. I would like to see some of it in the mainstream media.
Have him talk about stuff other than the real flames like what he sees as some of the new up and coming trends in the custom automotive industry that we may not already be aware of...
