Default Question about Iwata Eclipse

I have Iwata Eclipse, I used them more for Temporary airbrush tattoos. Alcohol base paint. I've use my Iwata cup and Eclipse at times for airbrushing T-shirts with Createx. Someone that I know recommended that I not share guns with different paints. The person told me that Createx wears down the cone where the needle goes through. I know Don or other users here can answer this for me. They believe if I continue to use with Createx, that it cause problems for me when I start airbrushing for temp tattoos. Of coarse, i clean well in before switching over to different paint.

thanks

Phil

Sort of like the software guys blaming the hardware guys with computers when things go wrong

I haven't used createx in years but when I did it never caused a problem with temp tat. paint in the same gun, just clean it real well. Ideallllllyyyy it would best to have two guns one for t shirts one for temp tat's. Thats the only good use I found for aztec brushs, temp tat's they work great with the little color cups with the lids.

some paints are actually corrosive. so even with proper cleaning when you use these paints they are slowly causing wear from the chemicals and the action of the paint gun. have you ever seen waterborne clear, left in an aluminum cup for any length of time? it just chews it up. learned that one the hard way. lol like YRR said spray whatever you like, just clean very well after each use. and dont mix up your cleaning solutions. lacquer thinner and waterborne paints and clears do not mix. the waterbased stuff, such as createx will turn into a very nasty and hard to clean jelly when mixed with solvents. if you are bored sometime, take a dixie cup, a litle createx and try to reduce it with lacquer thinner, or something similar, and see what happens LJ
