Default Question about decals

I've been airbrushing on cast vinyl to create custom decals. I'm just curious about what type of clearcoat anyone else is using on their decal work.

I paint with House of Kolor (automotive paint) or Createx(waterbase), and have used rattlecan clear with good success. My problem is that if someone decides to have their motorcycle cleared at a later point to seal those decals onto the bike, I'm afraid that automotive clear will react with the rattlecan clear.

If I KNOW someone is going to have the decals sealed onto their bike, I just protect the decal art with intercoat clear.

Any thoughts?

There is a good chance of chemical reaction between the two types of clear...I have actually tried using colors from a shaker can and clear with HOK... No luck with me on that department.... It was more of an experiment than anything else...I think the only way you could possibly get away with it is to spray your clear coats dry... As if you were trying to clear coat one-shot lettering enamels... But its a huge risk because your flash time has to be spot on or else you will get some crazy reaction between two paints...
Stick with your HOK and you will be OK...
