Default practice on t's/portraits

I found another blank square so I decided to practice my t-shirt work and my portraits.....my son had a 50 cent pic on the comp so I used it as a reference... what do you think? any tips to improve ?

Hey Mayhem,

Its looking good bra, Question (as it is hard to tell on the monitor), are you going at it with straight black and white, or are you tinting. I find if I mix my darker shades out of greys and browns and maybe a slight touch of black in this case and maybe tint my skin tones the same way lightening with tinting white it is easier to blend and therefore makes anything such as the whites of the eyes, teeth and or light relections with straight white stand out more, and can give you more tonal range on the skin. For straight black and white,(and I am far from getting this down), I think you need more suggestion and less actual paint deffinition.

mayhem this portrait is very impressive. i looked at all your other posted work and its all looking great. the mermaid is unbelievable. off the subject but do a google search for (sidewalk art) and you will flip out. some guy found a way to make 3d photo realistic pictures on concrete with CHALK of some kind. i still cant believe what im seein http://www.impactlab.com/modules.php...icle&sid=7567g

thanks guys !!!! i dont know about my own booth yet ,,,but am looking forward to the day I did see some sidewalk work one artist from europe I think...was a batman and robin climbing up a building to save a guy standing on the side walk was really intense...had to look at it a few times in amazement...
