practice
I practiced this camo pattern on a shirt before I decide if I can do this pattern on a small truck and decide the price I will charge. Let me know if you think this looks close enough to real to be painted on a small truck (hunting vehicle).
thanks

Re: practice
Hey ghooptie is this goin' under clear? I think the pattern you got goin' there is perfect but it also seems like it could be too detailed for what it will be used for. I guess when I think of camoflaged vehicles I think of my crazy friends in ohio and michigan, quick and easy rattle can camo, beating the heck out of their vehicles in the woods ,hence the clear question.
Heck if the customer wants what is on your t-shirt, which looks really good, and you have an efficient process to lay it out quickly and still looks as good as what you did on the shirt you should make some pretty descent money.
Good luck and post pics when you are done with it.

Re: practice
Ghooptie, I think you have a great pattern going here, I am one of those crazies from Michigan, but I think your pattern would look better than rattlecan splotches. One thing I would add to your pattern would be some additional leaves in the browns and yellows to pull in the fall color pattern. When you say small truck, do you mean like a converted golf cart size ? If so Chuck TX, a member here specializes in painting golf carts, maybe he can give you some advise as to pricing. Good Luck, hope to see a picture of the finished product when and if you do the job. By the way nice looking shirt !!!

I Wouldn't Wanna Wear That Shirt In The Woods During Deer Season ,where I Come From. It Might Wind Up With A Little Red Camo On It. That Is Very Cool.me Likey!

Re: practice
pattern looks great. Only problem looks to be with that amount of detail its going to be a long job ahead of you. But I'd love to see the finished product for sure.

Re: practice
Thanks for the comments, Diaz it will be cleared (2 coats), I was thinking some wheres around the $3000.00 mark on it. The truck is a Japanese truck Mitzubishie, if he still wants it done for this price, I will post progress photos. This will be my first vehicle, if it turns out good, it will probably lead to more just like it due to the fact he has a bunch of buddies that have the same type vehicles, and they all have money. They all bought these for hunting vehicles, they aren't street leagal here in the states I don't think.
Thanks again

That would look good on a hunting truck , have you seen the truck , just if there is extra prep work ,dents rust etc , if new you could get away with a good rub with degreaser and Scotch rite pads... There is a lot of prep work in a respray are you takin of door handles badges etc.It all adds up to getting a good price.

Re: practice
Ghooptie,
Just a suggestion, if your customer is going to use it for hunting hemay not want the clear too glossy, as it tends to be too reflective.
I would as him about that.
I like the shirt looks like a cross between "realtree" and "mossy oak"
