Default Practice

hi can anyone tell me what i could use instead of proper airbrush paint that is about the same consistancy as paint i shall be using a gravity fed AB with 0.3 needle

Try water with some food coloring. If you can spray that witout running, you'll be able to spray anything like a champ!

Try mixing food coloring with "FUTURE"... that with acrylic floor polish. It makes a nice consistent paint and acts like it also.

Hi guys thanks for all the advice and tips i dont know about Future acrylic polish as i think that is only an American product and i am in the UK but the water and the food colouring sounds good i will give it a go as its got to be cheaper than £2.50 a pot approx $5 where you are and as you can imagine it could be quite costly practicing

Allan, the web site name is Future Floor Wax, the name may be different in the U K but I am sure that that you can buy it in your local stores

Hi i have been searching for it but no joy i suppose we mush have an equivelent in the UK but had no joy so far i cant even find it on ebay where you can usually find anything lol am i correct in thinking it is a Johnsons product?

Then again I guess any acrylic floor polish would work.

i dont know why they cant call it the same everywhere

Allen, I agree, Johnson Clear sounds better in that it tell the consumer about the product

Hi all
As a newbie to the art of airbrushing i have learned something from this that there are shortcuts out there as i had no idea about this product just an idea for the admins maybe you could do a page for the complete newbies with tricks like this on it
