You're on the right track Ralph. Try holding your painting wrist with your non-painting hand to stabilize it. It might take the squiggles out of your lines. But keep on painting and paint, paint, paint.....
Ralph, first of all you are doing nothing wrong, you show that just in your dedication to practice. Lets start at the beginning, there is really only one brush stroke with an airbrush ( a DOT ) a line is just a dot that has been dragged across the page, a dagger is a Dot that is dragged across the page shutting of the paint flow as you are dragging it. So what I would like to see you do to get complete control of your airbrush is do a page full of DOTS without shutting off the air, spacing them about an inch apart ( don't throw that practice page away, we will use it later ) start by getting complete control of your brush by being able to do a whole line of DOTS same size without shutting off the air, next we can work on the lines.
