Default painting on lexan

I was going to try an airbrushing on sheet metal, but having a hard time finding it at work. I noticed they have plenty of lexan sheets that they use for replacing factory windows, has anyone tried painting on this material? do you use an acrylic primer if you are using acrylic paints? thanks in advance

TG
I was testing out some paint on a poly carb (lexan) bike helmet the other day, and it sticks real well. I'm using createx with one drop of bond all & one drop of catalyst, to
1/2 cup of paint in my hp-cs and it will have to be sanded off or scraped.

Hope this helps.

TopGun, I use Createx and Auto Air on clear Lexan sheet. I also paint it in reverse. Foreground to Background so that the Lexan acts as it's own protective cover. Just be careful of the static electricity. If you don't eliminate or reduce it, it will grab any overspray and attach it elsewhere on the Lexan. Mild soap and water usually helps.

Here's a couple of my piece's. There's more on my websight.

Thanks Ray. It took me some time to learn to think backwards when I paint.
