Question Painter's Alcohol

Hi everyone,
I have a couple of questions for anyone that's able to help me. Can I use painter's alcohol to clean my VL air brush? I use it to wash my sable paint brushes after using acrylic paint, but I don't know if it would damage the air brush. Also, can I spray thinned artist oil paint with the VL? Are the pigments ground fine enough to spray? I have always used brushes on my bird carvings, but I can see that an airbrush would make blending appear much more realistic. And finally, do air brush paints, such as Golden, have to be thinned more before I can use them in an air gun? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

Ive soak mine in 100% isopropyl alcohol or soapy Dish Detergent water and never had any ill effects.

As for the paint question I don't see any harm in trying it just thin some then filter it before shooting it.

Hi silver-surfer,
Thanks for the tips. I read somewhere in the forum that I could use pieces of panty hose for filters? If so, my lady friend will be in serious trouble as soon as I find out if it's true! Like I said, I'm new to air brushing, but with the people in the forum I know I'm going to get a lot of help. Thanks again.
