Question paint with spider legs

i am using golden brand ready to spray paint with either a bottom feed badger anthem 155 or my new iwata hp c+ and at first i get nice pencil like lines and point like dots. then it starts looking like fire works going off. instead of a dot i get spider legs commin off it. this effect may work for the 4th of july but not for the other 364 days. it seems like the paint gets watery but its "ready to spray paint" and it works ok for a while so i dont know why it would change. any ideas?

it could be a couple reasons, First do what type of surface? What PSI? Even though they are airbrush ready, you still should shake the paint up for a good minute to make sure it is all mixed. Now if you are getting the spider legs, you are too close and applying to much paint for the distance. Back up the brush or lay off the amount of paint. However it does sound like your brush could be dirty. Tear it down and do a REALLY good cleaning.. you could have paint film on your brush and it is flapping when air is pushed and blocking your gun. try those and let us know how things go.

I am sorta having the same problem,I am shooting Dr Martins Ready tex(at 50 to 55 psi).My black and darker colors can leave hairline crisp lines. but when go to shoot yellow ,orange or lighter colors the crisp lines turns in to millipedes ("paint with spider legs". I will have to remember this saying because it describes it well) my darker colors do seam have a little thicker density.I can put the tip almost right against the t-square and bring the paint in slow to make a fine line for nice detail. Now yellow or orange the paint wants to follow any nook or cranny and spider. I can back off the distance and it will stop(I have tried shooting lower pressure all the way down to 20 psi with same results). But this don't allow for the detail I am looking for.
Sorry Mark, I know this is no answer to you problem but if you figure it out please share.

This sounds like a control issue. Different colors sometimes requier different pressure. Also, if you start out good and it gets bad, and you are needing to pull back on the trigger father to get the paint to start, you are suffering tip dry. Keep a cup of water with a soft paint brush handy. Swab the tip of the brush every once in a while to keep the tip clean. When you get real close, you have to really reduce the amount you open the needle and you have to be moving. Takes practice, you will get it, just play with it.
