Ohio Tech College Open House

Ohio Tech College Open House coming up on the
24th of August in Cleveland, OH. It is open to the public at no cost or
committment to the school. Bigdaddycustoms will be performing Live Air Brush
Demonstrations all day long, and the Custom Paint Department Staff will be
on hand to answer questions as well. Looks to be a real fun time for all
that come out (not to mention an opportune learning experiance as well).

The open house will be from 9am to 4pm on Friday, 24 August at Ohio Technical College in Cleveland, Ohio. You can go to the school's website at http://www.ohiotechnicalcollege.com for directions.

OTC has a custom paint and graphics department that offers a 3 month (full time college) course dedicated to Air Brushing. I'll be there demonstrating painting techniques all day long. Feel free to come out, watch the demos, ask questions, and learn how it's done. I've included pictures from a past demonstration to give you an idea of the painting techniques that I'll be covering.

Hey Chuck, Yea, I experienced the same thing. The only detailed information I have gotten is directly from BigD, so go by that I guess. WOW, this could be so COOL, I have messed with my calendar and I think I'm going!!!!!!!! whoooohoooo

It's under the upcoming events calendar on their website, although it has the wrong date listed......it changed last week to the 24th of August from 9am to 4pm. It's the Fall Open House for the school......but the big difference now is they have Big Daddy (LOL) working for them now. heheheh. Pass the word on, everybody is welcome! I am having a friend come up and film the demo with his digital recorder......mostly for "advertising" purposes for the high schools to give them a visual explanation on what I do - a quick 5 minute type of deal. May have to think about actual DVD's some day........

The Cleveland Airport is about 10 - 15 minutes away from the school (if even that far).....just mapquested it - 14.5 miles from the airport. Thinking about flying in?

Hey BigD .... I would love to visit ... I just have to talk myself into spending the air fare. I've had some very large unexpected expenses here lately and I'm afraid there's a few more to come. I checked SouthWest Air lines and right now I can get a round trip for $100 which isn't bad. I'll let you know when it (time) gets a litttle closer to the event.

I know the feeling! A Hundo round trip is pretty good (couldn't even drive round trip for that price)......that's a paint job on a half-helmet............ Hope things work out and you can make it!

Hey Big D, OK, it's a done deal, I WILL BE THERE!!!!! So excited to watch a pro in action. Will I be able to ask you questions while you are painting. My husband is teasing me already that I should make a list of all my questions! LOL but I guess I do have a few. I have never been able to talk one on one with a fellow airbrusher, so this will be a real experience. I was gonna ride my bike over there, but saw that I have to get into some of your wonderful city traffic and I will pass! I'm still not thrilled with city traffic, more of the open road rider I guess! Anyway, save me a seat up close!

Don't worry bout the traffic too much......I-90 is a pretty clean ride in. I may ride my bike up.......though I doubt it......I have all that AB stuff (and paint) to bring up with me. Feel free to ask questionsl all you want, although I don't know if I'd consider myself a "professional".......heheheh, more like a 2-bit hacker who does a really good job faking it! Good to know that there will be a few friendly faces there!

It will be nice to meet and B.S. with some fellow ABers.......you just can't find people in everyday life that understand the frustrations, trials, and tribulations of bent needles, cracked nozzles, bleed through, and tip dry! It will be nice being understood without trying to explain everything you talk about! Mahaps an adult beverage or two after said work day may be enjoyable as well. Can't wait to see everyone! If it's one thing I've learned, the "teacher" can learn as much from the "students" as the other way around.

TIP:
Snuff, take a picture of yourself in the dark with the a flashlight underneath your chin, about chest high. That's how I get my perspective,,,plus I'm pertier in the dark!!LOL!
