Hey you guys from Canada...

What is the requirements for helmet wear?

Do you have to wear them or no.

Also do the helmets require DOT certification stickers attached?

Inquiring minds want/need to know.

Thanks

Yes we have to wear them and I usually try to keep the DOT stickers visible. Some manufactures will not warantee the helmets if they are painted. I don't know much about that but I do know that only Fibre Glass and Kevlar should be painted with automotive paints. That's as much as I know but i'm sure there are more knowledgable people who might differ with me.

I do know helmets are manditory here in Canada though

Thank you

I painted a helmet for display and someone wanted it. I sold it to them at a discounted price (they were from Canada) because it was a practice helmet.

When I painted it I did paint over the decal. Now they are calling me. Although I have a huge sign posted all sales final. I feel bad if they can not use the helmet because it does not have the sticker displayed.

Thank you for the assistance. Aw... life and learn.
