Default Newbie, Badger 150.

Ive just bought a Badger 150 M before this i had a cheapy airbrush, ive read the instuctions over and over for the badger and it doesnt say anywhere how to make the lines thinner or thicker, on my old one you took the case off the back end and twisted the needle i think it was, but on the badger that bit wont budge?? any help would be much apreaciated.

I believe that is a double action airbrush you now have.
You push down on the trigger for air then pull back to make the paint come out. Depending on how fare you pull back, and how close you are to the surface, determines the line width.

Hello parrington, welcome to the forum..I'm sad to say that there are no pre-set line width settings..no magic button or twisty anything..the operator of the airbrush controls the width of the line, & with practice can make one as thin as a mouse whisker..what are your plans for the airbrush?? Learn your basics & you can do anything..

no worries there is no right or wrong place here

I use a mini HVLP like a Sata Mini Jet to base and clear hellmets, its much faster, you'll less material and it will give you much better even coverage
hope that helps

Most of the art work appears to have been airbrushed
I think once you have a good gasp on the basic's you'll better understand some of the techniques used.

www.howtoairbrush.com www.howtocustompaint.com should help

Parrington, the work you post of what you desire to paint & the style you like, is an example of very nice airbrushing done by experienced artists..This is not something that comes without a price..you seem to be overly concerned with thin lines & intricate details, when what you need to do is approach an easle & practice your fundamental basics.. Most of your questions will answer themselves once you get these aquired..If you have the desire you can begin to accomplish beautiful work in a relatively short time, but 1st. you must be able to produce a Dot, a Dagger stroke, & show some decent line work on demand..I wish you luck with this..
