hello everyone. im JCrim. i've been air brushing/ painting for about 2 years now if not more. i say 2 years cause its rather off and on. but im pretty much stuck on it now. i used to paint with my dad on cars until i got really involved with my own life and job. i work for suddenlink communications in the commercial broadband support field. IM NOT A PC NERD!!

i really like to draw and paint cartoons/ anima stuff. I can draw, and paint. i know i can draw on paper, just never did anything too extreme. so, on my days off i atempted to do something out of the ordinary. so i decided to paint my wall in my house. lol (my room that is, so far). so i started with something simple just to try. so i picked "Sonic the Hedgehog" lol i know. the pic i got was about 3 inches tall and now he is 5 feet tall on my wall. lol. i started with sketching it with a pencil then started hitting it up with paint, car paint that is. i did it all my self. i started off painting with a air brush, well, it didnt cover enough area so i had to go get the GUN!. my father is an automotive painter so he supplys me with paint and bought me a few guns and brushes (Sata Brand) so i re did the spotty blue. (you can see how much better it looks on the very last photo.) so here is what i got.

i finished it and it looks great but i didnt bring my camera here to work with me. ill post it up tomorrow.

my next project which i already have sketched out is im doing madigascar animals for my neighbor in his kids room. however, im using latex paint so i dont posion the kid. lol oh, and a chop pic just for good measure. lol





btw, yeah i also do photoshop work too with pics.

looks very cool, airbrush doesn' cover much area as you found out when doing something that big, you did a ban up job for your first go at it

haha, thanks guys. i like the warm welcome. yeah ill post the finished product either tonight or tomorrow when i get off. 10pm central that is.

you guys are really nice. ive been an active member on various boards so i knwo all the usual rules. if i do something wrong please let me know asap! i wanta get really active here and meet all you other artists.

all my friends wanted me to make sonic throw up the "shocker" rather than the duce. lol i was highly thinking about it. for those who dont know, this is the shocker
