Default My nice shiny new Iwata

Hi there, well after a wait of several days my nice new Iwata airbrush is here.

Wow! its just great to look at, and feels comfortable...but no hose? grrrrrrr!
Oh well, I have now ordered one

I take it the paper with the fine lines of spray is a test piece? it was inside the case anyway.
This Airbrush has the MAC valve too, quite looking forward to seeing how good this is.

I ordered a spare larger nozzle too, 0.3mm size which should cope with the Comart acrylics I have, the Paasche I had didnt like these much.

I think I will get along fine with this one, its so nice to hold...just feels nice and heavy and but not too heavy.

I am using a Paasche V series single action, which is great on its own but it drinks the paint like there is no tomorrow. I am only doing small stuff and need that fine control...I like trying out freehand the most.

The HVLP gun must have been quite big? I used to work for a local airservice and there was such a gun there for painting aircraft panels and so on...nice bit of kit. It was powered off something like a hoover motor...sounded like one anyway.

Rob, i just went through the same thing, been using a paasche VL, then 2 weeks ago bought a HP-CS, got it in the mail, NO HOSE, had to wait for it to come via mail....a long wait!!!. also got the piece of paper with the swirls, guess it's to show that the brush has been tested and worked ok. I can't believe how much my work has improved with the new brush, it paints a whole lot better for fine detail, also seems better balanced, i don't feel like i'm as shaky..
