Default My Metallic gold is to bright yellow

I bought a pint of Metallic gold auto air paint and looking at the bottle in the store it looked like the perfect match medium gold color but once i started painting it on the car it looks bright yellow infact if I take the bottle outside I do see the yellow coming through I was just amazed, has anyone ever tryed to darken Matellic gold auto air ? I was looking more for a meduim gold to paint my stripes on my car to match the wheels..

This maybe a dumb question on my part but did you shake it up or stir it?
The metallic may have settled at the bottom of the bottle and you may have to stir it rather than just shake it up.
Hope this helps...

I have gotten a couple different shades out of the silver if you do not shake them enough.
I love AutoAir but their metallics are a real chore to use because they seperate so fast and easily.
You have to shake it like it owes you money
