My First Practice Stuff.
I know I have a long way to go, but Ive just been mucking around, following the lessons, so far, Im still on lesson 1 lol..but its ok, I wanna know the basics before I move on.
Im still having trouble with daggers, I can do a few and then it all goes to hell.
Having the attention span of a 2 year old, doesnt help

Re: My First Practice Stuff.
Kodee, off to a great start girl.
It's all about getting to know your brush and how you both work together.
Only things I will tell you right now is 1/ Keep the air on while your working at all times, not only when you are running a line.
2/ small movements of the needle and varying the distance from the surface can achieve amazing results.
Take it slow and ask any and all questions, the only stupid question is the one that was never asked!

Re: My First Practice Stuff.
thanks Rowie.
Leaving the air on, is really the main thing Im practising, and its amazing just how often it goes off without me realising, but I am getting better at it, and I know its going to be easier if I keep doing it that way.
I need more black now or its back to food colouring lol
Using the air brush in paintshop is soooo much easier to use lol

What paint are you using girlfriend?
Maybe we can look at reducing it too get it lasting longer. But who cares what color your using to practice, it's all good.
And this paintshop thing! glad you understand it!

Re: My First Practice Stuff.
Im using Createx, Bea sent me some with my ab. she is so sweet!
I did buy a reducing stuff that Bunnings recommended, I should probably try that and just get the black to last a bit longer, but like you said, its all practice and so far, its still fun
As for paintshop..oh its easy! But photoshop..hah, thats another story

Re: My First Practice Stuff.
Well I think that you are off to a good start Kodee. you just have to keep practiceing. I myself have only been at it for six months now and I am not much further than you are now, but it can get a bit boreing after a while. What I do is an hour or two with D,D.L, then maybe I will play around with some stencils that I made and then back to D,D,L, good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Re: My First Practice Stuff.
thanks, I might just do that. I picked up a couple of cheapo stencils from cheap as chips just for practise..they might help when it gets boring
