Default Klean Strips Bulldog Adhesion Promoter?

I am spraying acrylics on foil leaf and was told to use this stuff before clear coating with epoxying. I'm worried that the paint might flake off so I'd like to tack the paint down. Question..does this product dry clear? my concern is it's going to steal some of the foil "sheen". If not clear are there any other adhesion promoters you guys can recommend?

thanks

welcome to the forum!

So you are saying that you want to spray bulldog on top of your work to seal the paint?

If you are clear coating over gold leaf with an automotive clear, you don't need an adhesion promoter,... not sure what you mean by "epoxying"?

I bulid and repaint 8-12" fishing lures that require a two part epoxy finish to keep water out of the wood. Using the sharpest hooks requires me to have a high build clear coat. I use both Devcon 2 Ton and Envirotex lite both are equivalent to 50 coats of clear per application. Since I have a variety of materials(water based ab paint, sharpie highlights, and foil) I am using I want to spray a transparent clear coat before applying my epoxy so I don't interrupt and smear my work. It's important that the clear coat dries fast and more importantly doesn't kill the sheen of my foil work.

here's an example of a bait with sharpie and water based ab paint...this one isn't foiled
