I'm on TV tonight!

Hi all,

A new group interested in car shows came to film me in my studio last week. And I was told that it would be on tonight on the channel called "TekTV" meaning technology tv, the program is called "Otoloji". This channel belongs to an educational authority and is based at a private university campus -Maltepe University in Istanbul. They are on screen all day on satellites and half a day on cable TV. They can also be watched on-line at their web site. The link is http://www.teknolojitelevizyonu.com/ when you open the main page you will see an orange rectangle on the top right corner which says "Canli Yayin" in it meaning "live broadcasting". It is enough to click on this button to watch the program. It will be on at 8.30-9.00pm on Saturday-6th of January 2007 (It is local time which means +2 hours GMT, so it will be like around 13.30-14.00 in Washington DC I guess).

I was not in touch with any tv shows since the last show which we fell quite apart with the director and I was quite annoyed. But this one has a clever and energetic director and so far it went fine. I thought they were coming to my studio just to talk through our projects and to see what can be filmed here. But they came with their huge cameras and lights etc and they wanted to try some recording I had to accept it. But guess what, I hadn't even shaved that morning and certainly not wearing my best suit. Anyway they just said it should be done in a rather casual manner as if I was working in any day, and they filmed me with my normal daily look which is what I like. A few days after that they phoned and said it looked o.k. and they wanted to broadcast it. See how I look on screen, ha ha!!! So if you can watch, you can see me airbrushing a bit, perhaps some of you have already seen me in some amateur videos I put in Google video, etc. But this one is filmed with professional cameras, hope it looks alright this time.

I hope this one works. Please click on www.onlineyayin.net and then go to the end of the list. The bottom right one : TEKNOLOJI TELEVIZYONU if you click on this one, a box appears. The second line says : Izle (that is "watch" in TR)

Hey Can, I missed it .. was out for the day
If you can get them to give up a video file that can be downloaded, I can host it for you on my webserver.. that is if it is less than 25 gig in size.

It was an important thing for me and I am glad I could feel you all around. It was a good experience and I started to understand better now what can be done if sth like this happens again. I wish the program were in English, so that all of you could understand what was said. You could give me lots of useful feedbacks then. I will try to make them a subtitled one if sth like this gets possible once again.

Dough, thanks mate, if we can make it happen it would be great. I will definitely ask for the video copy.

If you do manage to get a copy that can be downloaded that would be awesome.

Hi Doug and Rowie again,

I talked to the director and he said he could provide me with a copy though it might take another week or two for them to give it to me. The only problem now, it is in Turkish and needs either subtitles or talking in English over the original speech, or sth. I don't know how I can do this but I should look for the way to sort this out.
