Default Ideas... KitchenAid Mixer

I'm looking for ideas or leads to a theme for this project. This project is for a girl, and she wants the mixer painted girly but not too girly?!? I've come up with a few themes, roses, floral, paterns, but none seem to stick out to me. She seems to like the red metalic look, so I'm going to paint it using a silver base. Then over that base I'm going to apply a kandy red with red flakes in it. If anyone has any ideas that would go good with this theme gimme a shout . I'm open to all suggestions. I just want this one to be really eye catching and I can't seem to come up with a catchy concept. I'm attaching a pic of a mixer for all you photoshop buffs to play with if ya want to. Thanks in advance guys your help is always appriciated.

she wants the mixer painted girly but not too girly ---- usually means some pink but not to much pink, most that say this like rasbery color, some red but not to much.

She seems to like the red metalic look, so I'm going to paint it using a silver base. Then over that base I'm going to apply a kandy red with red flakes in it. ----- this sounds good but why don't you throw in the floral design too. Almost all the girls like that.

Go with your gut for the most part.
Hope I helped

Bahama, your idea sounds spot on, maybe a lace pattern under the Kandy red

Ooooohh Lace! I like that... Good one KD. Burgundy wine sounds nice too, little deeper red. Lets run with the lace Idea... What ya think of a darkened red lace pattern on the silver before I kandy it. Or do you think I should make it lighter like a very subttle pink after I shoot the burgundy kandy. This is really helping guys!!!

Edit: Hahah I just re-read your post KD. At least we're on the same page lol.

Here's a helmet I did might help you get an idea of what it would look like.

Yeah that's cool Don! I'm gonna go to the fabric store tomorrow to look at patterns. I like how you have a transition in the lace. I'm going to toy around with it a bit and see what kind of coolness I can come up with. Thanks!
