Default I Want To Paint!!!!

I am so sick of this arm, I can't even pick up an airbrush at the moment.

So damn frustrating, watching Jackie's amazing progress, looking at the wonderful projects that others are working on, being humbled by the improvement I can see in the other new artists.
I have all these ideas and no way of working on them.

One project I have in the works is a Dodge hubcap, a spare off my 52 sedan, I have drawn a Knight/Paladin on it, just partial head and right shoulder and with any luck it should look awesome, that is if I can ever get to it!

Take care guys n gals, i'm still here watching and ready to help where I can.

regards

rowie

hang in there Rowie - i know it sucks to see all the great works by others and not be able to do any yourself - But you need to let that arm heal!! Dont make things worse by trying to do stuff you shouldnt!
I dont get to paint as much as I would like to - time being my biggest factor and it frustrates me too. Only have a few minutes in the mornings, not much better in the evenings after working at the "real" job (hour commute each way, then fix dinner, do dishes, etc - life gets in the way)
only real time i have is on the weekends.

Hey rowie,

I feel for you. On Dec 31st I took a spill while skiing. Resulted in a palmar dislocation of my right thumb and a rotator cuff injury to my left arm. Physio for the next three weeks and the jury is still out on surgery.

While it hurts, I can still paint. I don't have full motion but the swing is still there and the thumb isn't really required.

Maybe with your down time you can practice your sketching skills.

All the best and you'll be back in the saddle in no time.

hehe, nothing like being the mule behind the carrot hey rowie?
I was gonna suggest as spiderman wrote about doing some drawings and 'next project' information gathering. One can never have enough reference pics and such.
Until your return man

Rowie-
I feel for you...Overall, I am pretty active and couple that with my ADD...I have to have something to do...all of last year was hard on me...In Jan of 06, I blew out my knee...they don't operate until the swelling is down, so about 3 weeks while I recovered...surgery happened in April, and that was a full 8 weeks, then in June I broke my collar bone, which lingered for about 8 weeks because I wasn't a good patient...so I feel for you...I wish you a speedy recovery...and no more accidents.

sorry to see you're out of the paint scene for a bit rowie, but I've been there too due to an injury. Just make sure you doodle alot, write down ideas you get while waiting for the ok to go back to biz again.
I'm in the limbo scene too, but its the weather that has me out, no decent protected area to play in.
Just take it easy~
I'll send ya some spare mojo for a speedy recover!
