Default I Might be comming back soon and I need help for a underprivledged newbee

I have been feeling a bit better and have been feeling the airbrush bug again. I was thinking over the thoughts of taking on some students who are serious about learning to airbrush. I would need at least three students signed up for weekly lessons to make it justafiable to set up my studio, but I realy feel this is the way I am to go at this time. The biggest dilema is space avalability for my studio at my home for teaching. I live in Fairport NY and if anyone reading this is located around me and are interested, or if you have any suggestions let me know.

It,s great that your back Fred I said that you would not be able to keep away. I think it,s great that you are thinking on taking on students you have so much talent to share, and maybe the wife will be a bit happier. Man if lived close by I would be round like a shot, but unforunatly it,s a bit far from Holland. I hope it works out for you this time.

Glad to hear that Fred. I think giving lessons on something you love doing is a great idea! Advertise it in craft stores and such.

I have a kid in the city that contacted me recently that is interested in airbrushing and has done a little fabric painting on t-shirts.
they can't afford lessons and have no money for a compressor or an airbrush, or transportation to make it the 25 miles to my house even for me to give them some free lessons. Pray something turns up, so I can lend a hand to this kid because I know how it was when I started and I had no one and no internet and no money.

I have a Weider Crossbow home Gym and a Orion 10" Dobson Tellescope that I am willing to sell to help this kid out. The Gym I need to sell because the Doctors will not alow me to use it any more and the telescope I have no time to use and is becoming to heavy for me to crry into thr field. Gym $400 Telescope pluss extras $650
I would sell these things buy a new aircompessor for my teaching and supplys for the kid I am speeking of and give him my compressor I use now.

Fred, I know many of you will not understand this reference but brother, you have a heart bigger than PharLap's

In a way it means that you are generous beyond all, for someone with so little to give so much.
That's the way I see it.

I do hope you will find the support and the students that you need.

I have an idea, what if you were to approach local art schools, art stores and the like, to advertise your lessons.

And to further that idea, get to know the managers or owners of the stores to seek sponsorship for materials by advertising their stores in your training notes or studio.

If I could do more to help you brother I would, I sincerely wish there was a way. I do deeply wish you every success in finding the vehicle you need.

Take care mate.

Rowie Thank you. I do know the local art store owner very well and she has asked me several times to teach airbrush at her store, but she ends up always hireing other artist, or just never calls me back. I have known her for years and I have given demonstrations at her store before. I am sure that if this is in God's will it will happen, so don't worry if you can't help personaly. A prayer is just as good, or sometimes even better.

Hey Fred. Glad to hear you are back in the game. You have to much talent not to be involved in painting in one form or another. If you can pass along only a part of your abilities to another, they would be lucky to have you as their teacher. As for the items that you mentioned, I was looking to get my daughter a tscope for her birthday in July. Honestly only had about $400 to go with but maybe I can figure out something to get a bit more and hook up with you. I will stay in touch and if someone else ponies up the dough, take it.
Nice to have you back.

Airbrushguy I bought the scope was a Christmas presant from my wife about 5 years agoans sold for $599. Pluss I have about $350 in lenses, carring case and other goodies for it. It is a serious teliscope and can see deep sky objects and planets. beleave me its not just a dime store telescope you see at Walmart. I hate to sell it, but I am willing to make the sacrafice. It would need to be picked up because of the size and the risk to the miror.
