Default I bought my girlfriend an AIrbrush/Compressor

She's a very good artist with paint, pencil and anything else in between. She will probably make a career out of it. But, she has never tried airbrushing. I purchased a Whirlwind compressor and a basic airbrush. I also got her a colorful book with tutorials that shows basic airbrush techniques. Hopefully she will like it!

Any suggestions for her to begin?

welcome aboard pjk and girlfriend !!!!! you came to the right place ,alot of friendly and helpful artists here ... I guess I will be the first to give you the word you are gonna grow to hate, but is very necessary.... ready? fundamentals

not a bad word but alot of new airbrush artists hear it so much in the beginning it kinda feels like a cus word lol..but your fundamentals will help you learn your/her control with the airbrush, daggers, dots, lines are your fundamentals, there is a few lessons here on the forum and in the online mag...what does she plan on painting, like helmets ,bikes, shirts, fine art? there are quite a few artists here in all those catagories so sit back have some fun and practice your fundamental strokes ohhhh and dont forget to post some work !!!!!

happy holidays !!!
