Default helmet

this is my practice helmet, tryed to create one of my killer skulls, but i think he looks to nice what do you think?

yeah i see, you wanne know how many colors i've got? 5! just basiccolors from schmincke. And about the helmet... I LOVE IT really nice and part left/right looks very simmuler (symmetrisch in Dutch).

thanks sidney :-) are u for holland? I also have some of the colors from schminke but I donīt realy like them they tend to tip dry when I shoot them and I realy donīt like that.

Yeah Kant, it does look a little happy but anatomically skulls have no expression at all. Some may disagree but that is what I see.
But in the AB artist world you have free reign on what you want your AB skulls to look like. So to me your skull looks cool and so does your illustration!

diaz can you give me any advise on doing teeth? I think the line I shoot between the tooth and gum are to thick or to darkany pointer?

Well when I do this I pretty much do it freehand, no matter how big the skull is. So all I can say about that is to practice tons of control excersizes with your AB to get those short little bursts while keeping the air on.
I'm goin' out to the garage in a bit and I will take some pics of the little excersizes I do that was taught to me. I do these everytime before I do any ABing to loosen my hand and fingers up so I can pull off those little strokes.
Otherwise another thing you can do is cut out a hand held stencil of the teeth you want to use for the skull.
These will give you a sharp clean look to the teeth. But you also have to remember that when you do this is that you will have to make sure that the rest of the skull matches the clean sharp look of the teeth.
I guess thats why I like to do everything freehand, although I do use some loose hand masks when needed, I'm only human.LOL!!
