Default Hello from VA

I've just joined the forum, though I've been airbrushing for some time now. I've been an artist my whole life, and still do a lot of acrylic canvas work, along with airbrushing vinyl decals, helmets and bikes. I love it! I just wish I would have started airbrushing much earlier!

I started airbrushing when someone "pushed" me into a new job painting racing boats (some of them 40'!). They called and told me to bring over my compressor and airbrush (at that time I didn't even own one). I ran out and picked up some equipment, played with it that night, and showed up the next day and did the drop shadows on a huge Baja - that was IT, I was hooked! As a tattoo artist, the "feel" was very similar to me; I felt like I had found an old friend. I hope that makes sense!

The project I'm most proud of is my motorcycle, "Mermie". She is covered with ocean waves, dolphins and a mermaid. It took a while to paint, but I think that tackling that project taught me a lot of different techniques.

I guess I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself; I've recently moved to Danville, VA, from Largo, FL. I'm looking forward to rummaging through the forum for new ideas and techniques.

Hi again, I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner, as I'm having some medical issues and haven't been online much. I appreciate the welcome. (egneg, I'm in Danville, on the southern border of VA.)
