Default Hello! I,m New & have a few ???

Hello I am new to airbrushing and to the forum. I just subscription to airbrush Techniques magazine. I like to learn to paint hard surfaces like motorcycle tanks, fenders, and helmets. I have a couple of mailboxes I though I could practice on.

I think I need to go with A Iwata HP-C plus for this type of work?

Createx Auto Air paint?

Also I have a new mini Pancake air compressor I got for my kids to use to air there gokart tires and etc but we never did and I think it might work for airbrushing here is the specs. 2 gal tank, 4 cfm delivery, 110 max psi, & 1\4" NPT air outlet

Hello, Thanks for welcoming me.

Thanks I am glad the compressor will work.

I have look though the reviews and I see Some good and bad but as a newbie I am still not so sure which one to buy for the type AP I want to do. So if any one can tell me what they use for the same type of AP It will be much appreciated. I want a good Airbrush that will serve me well I don't mind paying a little of a $100 for a airbrush.

Thanks Jim

Hello and welcome aboard! i think the airbrush that you have chosen would be a great one to start with. It's a work horse and will pull a pretty fine line as well. I started out with an eclipse and still use it alot,... but i think this brush is just a step or two up from that. It also has the top feed and solvent resistant packings so that you can use uros if you want.

Hello jap901, it looks to me that you've made some good decisions--I think you're set to go.. A moisture trap would be wise, but you've got about all the major supplies it takes, with the exception of learning the fundamentals..We may be visiting again real soon.. It's a pleasure to meet you..
