Heat Gun

Hello all. I'm a total newby to AB. Been to many different forums, but like this one most. Due to the obvious knowledge of the people here, and the fact that there are some Canadian posters. Any how my questions are ...
When refering to heat guns, are these hair dryers, paint stripper type things, or a specialty tool?
Would the tool differ from auto applications as apposed to textiles?

heat guns in respect to using what paint? Auto Air? A hair dyer set on high will work if so.

Howdy donjohnson. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Auto Air is indeed the paint I will be using. Candies to be specific. Thanks for the info. I'm sure I'll have many more questions in the future.

Are you in Canada?

Canadian Tire has a heat gun set for about $18-$20. Keep the heat on low and keep the heat gun moving, you will be able to see when the paint is dry and it will not take long a few minutes.

i use a hairdryer for auto air, and have done so for quite a few years,,,,and as stated...keep it moving...you will actually see the paint dry...have fun!!

If you use a heat gun don't stop moving it or you will fry the paint like an egg.
