Chuck, those buggies are great mate, you really have a nieche market there.
Doug is right about the drops and shadows too, so polished and crisp.

Re: it has been a while......
Hey Chuck, Great job on the carts ! Was wondering, are you in the buggy business, or are you just painting upon request ? I have been wanting to get a buggy and fix it up for both the landscape business and for hunting purposes, love looking at your painting schemes, you have a very nice talent with them.

Re: it has been a while......
to all, thanks for the comments!!! i sort of fell into this golfcart painting. approched a dealer on a consignment. it sold before i got out of his driveway, and he ordered 3 more that day. this has been 3 years ago, he has other dealers that pruchase from him. he has given my name to his best customers, so i also do for them. i have 2 steady customers, and a number of others that order from time to time. i also do mc tins and have recently got into doing some mc helmets....now those are fun to do.
again, thanks for the comments

Re: it has been a while......
ok, this is how i do granite..
my base coat is grey. i use the primer that i have applied to the cart.
i then use either magenta, blue,or purple in the airbrush. the color depends on my mood or the customers wants.
i use a cloths pin on the end of my airbrush and spray onto the clothspin aiming at the cart. i keep the bursh about 2 ft away or so. this should give you random spots. move the airbrush around getting the coverage you like. i have added a pic of the clothspin on the edge of the brush.
next i use black in the brush, using the clothspin and moving about the cart in the same manner as before.
next i use white in the brush, using the clothspin and moving about the cart as before.
now i look at it and if it needs a bit more of the first color i will add it,the same with the white or black.
i use black to lay out the cracks, and holes, very randomly.
i use white to add the highlight to the cracks and holes. keep in mind where the light it comming from...viola....you have just made granite...
