Default hard time finding paints

I've been trying to get my hands on some airbrush paint I知 taking people advice since I知 only starting out by making sure its airbrush paint. I didn't think it was going to be this hard to get my hands on some Golden airbrush paint.

It seems no one sells golden airbrush paint here in Australia despite selling other golden paints. I have also sent an email to Golden to see if I can buy direct waiting on a reply.

Can anyone recommend another paint I can buy here in Australia for use on paper and canvas type work?

Or can someone recommend a place that will sell and ship to Australia the Golden airbrush paint sets or simular?

I致e asking this before but I assume that HOK and Createx are not good choices for what I had in mind and that I知 still better off to purchase some Golden Airbrush paint from overseas?

What are the rest of the Aussies out there painting with?

Anyone used Medea Com-Art paints?

They sell them here and they sound like they might be good.

Comart colors are very much like Goldens. The transparent color is VERY transparent These paints do NOT resist water or anything wet after they dry, so make sure you clear coat your finished art. They do not work on textiles. You can also check for FW inks, not sure if they have them down under. I personaly have not used them, but know a bunch of people that do. The are not really ink, but acrylic paint very similar to Goldens.
As far a local, give Ken a call, he is very active on one of the other forums I frequent and has been making paint and art for many years.

yeah I've called them I don't think any Golden airbrush paint has ever made it to Australia seems they sell golden but just not the airbrush paint. One of the stores said they are trying to get it but no idea when that will be.

Someone on another forum suggested the use of 'Derivan Pigmented Ink' Anyone have any opinions on that?

At first I was thinking I'd buy Golden airbrush paint from overseas but now I think that痴 not a good idea and I should use whatever I can get here.

(keep in mind I plan to paint on paper or canvas for now).

Derivan Pigmented Ink (10 colours) - $15 per 500ml (US$10.75 per 16.907 fl oz)

Sounds like great value if the stuff is any good.

The places where I buy my airbrush stuff don't sell the Airbrush Colors either, only the Fluids.

When I asked them about that, they told me that they didn't have enough people wanting them to keep some on the shelves.

So I have to order them from the net when I want some.
