Question Gravity Brush

Hi everyone,
I've been using an Aztec airbrush on my bird carvings for about 2 weeks, and I find that I really can't paint fine enough detail with the siphon cups. Maybe it's just inexperience, but I bought the AB because it was recommend to me by another carver for it's simple cleaning process. I have been looking at an Iwata KCM in the product review and see that it is great for fine detail. I was wondering about the cup on the gravity feed. Do you have to clean the cup after each color you use, or do they have a variety of cups to exchange without cleaning after every use. Does anyone think this would be a good choice to paint songbird, and little hawk and owl carvinings? I'm a little concerned about cleaning the cup after each color, for I use a lot of colors on each carving. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hmm,,have you looked at the iwata HP-CH, it's almost the same airbrush
but the colorcup is slightly smaller, and it's about half of the price from the
KCM,,you can do very fine detail with this too no worries,,,
about cleaning the cup,,,you don't need to clean the cup at all color changes
like if you going frome yellow to green for example just add few drops of blue and use a small paintbrush and stear the paint in the cup untill you get the right value,,but at some point you need to clean it in between color changes
and i believe you will notice.
when you get the hang of it it will take a few secounds to make a quick clean and add a new color,,
keep a old rag or something beside you and add some cleaning liquid in the cup and spray it in to the rag then add a new color,,,while working i don't
think you need to do a complete cleaning just to clean the needle and bottom of the cup ,,but after your painting session is important to do a real
cleaning to get rid of all dried paint at the sides of the cup ,,etc,,,so you wont have any problems with small dried paint flakes falling down and jamming your airbrush,,,

Like Kimmo, I also have the HP-CH and love it. When I change color I keep a small container of clean water close by. First I run a little water through the brush then I squirt windex in the cup and spray that. That's plenty clean in between colors.
