Default Future And Aa..run Forrest Run!

Ok, I Did An Experiment On A Mail Box 1 Month Ago. One Side Was Done With Aa ,and The Reducer They Sell. The Other Was Reduced With Some Future . This Box Is End To End North /south. (just So Happens To Be That Way.).anyway...the Results Are In . Aa Reducer Is The Clear Winner. The Future Side Of My True Fire Turned White As A Sheet, with Almost No Color Left In It. The Other Side, just As Good As The Day I Shot It. So, You Can Use This To Make Up Your Own Mind ,or You Can Say I'm Full Of Sh#t. Either Way, I Won't Be Using Any Future On Stuff That I Care About. The Mailbox...i Don't Really Care About.(it's Always Full Of Bills). I Am Going To Re Shoot The Whole Thing ,because I Don't Want Anyone To Think That That's What Their Bike Will Look Like In One Month. Anyway, I Thought You Folks Might Want To Know That. Maybe On T Shirts ,it Works Fine, But It Sure Didn't In My Experiment. By The Way,this Etac Stuff Is The Sh#t !! Fantastice Stuff. Oops...did I Say Fantastic . Later ,peace

On my test panel I did not experience any fading at all except for the future and food coloring mix that faded and I expected it to. I never used the future for anything production since I have etac and I know that works.

Yes ,I had a long talk with the folks at AA. They told me that they can't believe that folks are reducing their product with an acrylic floor polish. The guy laughed when I told him. But ,it does something to the way the paint handles the UV rays from Mr . Sun. Oh well, You are right about the AA. It does shoot very nice from a gun. And it's not bad through an air brush,as long as it's .005 or larger,it does fine. peace

They laughed I heard when people said they where thinning with fantastic also. It did not take long and they came out with the new reducers. People only start
experimenting with stuff like this when there is a issue.

I personally think they should market it more for base coats, it works skippy
when shot out of a big gun.

Yes ,I'm in total aggrement with you on that. And it is really not bad out of an airbrush. But like I say ,they told me that they recommend a .05 nozzle size or larger. With some of my stuff,I want more detail. But ,I'm about to shoot ol yeller with the candy yellow on an old peanut tank . I love the AA,don't get me wrong. I just want to be able to reduce my risk of blowing a big ol boog on my freshly rendered sheetmetal. And redneck, yes of course I cleared over it. As much rain as we've had ,my box would be black again,if I didn't. You most definitely have to clear over this stuff. peace.

LOL!
Thanks for the test shovel. These type of posts are what helps others that can't get around to it.
I just recently picked some Future up to try out on R/Cs. I've only done some test panels.

There are many different paint systems out there and each are great for certain things. There's just a learning curve to each of them and knowing when to use which.
I'm just glad we have choices.
