Default Frankenstein Guitar

Finally finished up this project. I have some black knobs for it also and now I think I need to paint the neck to match.

My favorite movie monster of all time! Now my favorite guitar of all time!
I pretty much love anything with this creature on it and you did a great job with the artwork.

Hey that looks really sweet. I am in the process of spraying a Fender myself, and this guitar is giving me fits!!!!!! having trouble getting the paint to stick!!! the last one i did, i scuffed with 6oo, shot my graphics (ppg) and shot my clear 2coats knocked out the orange peel, 1 more coat of clear then cut and buffed everything was great. now my current project....... this will be the 3rd attempt, i have sanded with 400 andf seriously reduced the paint. well see what happens this time. this is not the time for this to happen. would you mind sharing your process? thanks LJ

Seriously reduced the paint has me worried. If you are over reducing the basecoat you are asking for adhesion problems. I sanded with 600 and used properly reduced dupont black basecoat. After getting a good base over reducing for art is not a big deal but I am working on a fresh base that promotes good adhesion. I sometimes use bulldog or dupont midcoat adhesion promoter before the base coat on factory clear or base that is out of window.

Thanks fo rthe great comments everyone.

WOW! amazing job! but yeah, the neck looks a little out of place. needs to be nice ebony neck...that would be the icing on that cake.
