Default First Wall

Hey all, I haven't been able to do alot of AB lately but the wife wanted a mural on the Bedroom wall for our Anniversary this weekend. So here's my first attempt at anything major other than the dots and daggers. It's about a 5-6 " circle, used Createx paints, Badger Anthem and a noisy Walmart compressor. I'm still real new so about 80% of my time was on masking and cutting. Most important though I learned alot doing it (even learned that I needed to stretch )
Anyways, I"m always open for all comments and suggestions.

I think it looks really nice! Some things need masking and you sure do have the use of a knife down to an art! I like this a lot and you should be very proud!

I think this is a beautiful piece of work..I love the dark silhoette against the cloudwork..the only thing that I may have done differently would be a softer edge on the outside, maybe even in that pretty aqua or the orange of the clouds-- but that's not even an issue--I bet you did learn a lot on this one & with it being so successful does it make you want to continue?? You earned a lot of brownie points with this one I betcha!!..

Many thanks for the comments everyone. The photo was taken with bad lighting so it's not straight on like I wanted it but it was right after I pulled the maskings. Now the wife can put all her stuff back on the wall .
aixguy.....I wouldn't say I got the Knife down to an art yet, I had alot of mistakes were it went thru to the wall but I was getting the hang of it near the end.
Darla.......I thought seriously, and still am about changing the Black "Frame" to a different color because of how it stands out on the light wall, I really didn't get a feel, so to say, of it with all the protective covering on the wall at the time. If I could get my color mixing down I would like it to be the same color as the furniture (dark reddish brown). So this is still a possibility.

THX for the support all.
OH and Yes Darla I will be continuing when time permits

Excellent stencil work ! Really like the clouds. I like your idea of changing the border to match you furniture, should look better after you pull that off !

Hey all, took your suggestions and changed the frame color. Darla, I also tried to soften the inside of the frame. Thanks for everyones advise and now I'm about 95% satisfied with it and the wife is 100% ( I guess thats all that matters ) Thanks again all.

very nice!
I take it the 'stretch' you're refering to is you yourself? yes, you must take a break every now and then to stretch! it's easy to be so into your work that you don't listen to the body,,, if I don't, I hear about it later,,, usually from my chiropractor!

looking forward to your next piece
