First portrait
This is a portrait I've done. It's for a book trailer for my wife's new book (paranormal romance) "ENCHANTING THE LADY" coming out in January 2008 from Dorchester publishing. He is the hero named Terrance (he's a werelion). I based him on Colin Firth from the DVD cover of "PRIDE AND PREDJUDICE"
I'd greatly appreciate your comments. Pro and con.

Re: First portrait
Ancient!
Kaiilla, this looks pretty darn good, a bit too stenciled in some places and I can see the pencil lines, same trap I always fall into.
But overall really nice work.

Re: First portrait
Yeah,
I drew it on Drawing paper, then Frisketted it, cut the frisket in place with an x-acto then painted it.
I wasn't worried about the lines 'cause it's getting scanned and then "antiqued" in the computer for the video. So it won't be looked at real close.
Also some of the shading is colored india ink done with a pen. I bought 2 sets of Dr Martins india inks. (I can't figure out how to get them to work in the airbrush very well. They dry in the gun fast here.)
Besides, It's the only way I could figure out to do it. Hopefully as I get more knowledge I'll do better. I really appreciate you critique.

Re: First portrait
not too bad for a first.
eyes could use a little more shading to give them a bit more depth, and you didnt follow your pencil lines at all in the hair.
