Default First go at airbrushing, pics added

This is my first shot of airbrushing. My mate had an old helmet that was reeally scabby due to stock car racing so i thought i'd give it a try. I took the design from on i had seen and then masked it up on the helmet. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. One thing i found wat that i need to be a bit lighter on the craft knife when cutting the masking! Sorry, pics are too large, i'll have to try and get them smaller.

You have nice lines there for the cracks - with some experience you will be great!

Thanks, does anyone have any tips for getting really soft lines. I tried to make all the masking lines unnoticable but some can still be seen close up. Also is there a cure for a shaky hand?

maybe if you painted lightly over your masking line to blend it in it might help...and your shakey hand well either paint alot of cracks lol or just alot of practice and fun one thing I forgot who mentioned it to me but it helped, you know where you want to start the line and finish it so dont consentrate so hard move a little faster ... if its a curve practice the curve off to the side of what your working on the get the feel and then move into place and hit it...just another newbies 2 cents
