Re: finished dungeon
that's good! There is a lot that stands out to me. particularly the tatoo's. great detail in those. the shackles and barrel look great. good roundness of the stones in the wall and reflection of light. I like it. you should be proud.

Re: finished dungeon
Well done, Mayhem!!!!! I like the detail work on the door and barrel. Of course, the tats go without saying. You've outdone yourself. Can't wait to see the next one.

Re: finished dungeon
You are improving in giant leaps! Good job! One thing that looks a little off to me is to the right of the barrel. It looks as though the girl is sitting against a different wall than the barrel yet the wall above her looks like it is all one. The black between the barrel and the straightness of her hair seem to create that edge. It could be just the photo not picking up the detail of your painting. Hope you don't mind the critique. Oh ya did you tell your wife yet the meaning behind the painting?
EDIT: I went back and looked at the close up of that section from one of your earlier posts ,the space between the barrel and her hair looked great there. So maybe it is just the photo.

Reason: looked at the older close up of that section

Re: finished dungeon
I've been doing graphite pencil portraits for years. The one thing that stands out, is it seems a bit "outliny"...if that makes sense. It seems the outlines and dark areas are too dark. Were you going for a realism look? Or a particular style?
